While this weekend was filled with all things wedding, last weekend I spent three days with Tyler exploring the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (where he grew up). We loaded the car, headed north, and spent the weekend putting on some serious miles. We rode bikes around Mackinac Island (making a pitstop or two to find the best brew), hiked to what felt like every waterfall within a 200 mile radius, explored sand dunes on Lake Superior, found the “best pasties in the UP”, and looked for agates like a 60 year old retired couple. We complained about tent camping, fought off mosquitos, and laughed until our stomaches hurt. We didn’t jet set across the country or add another stamp to our passports, but I can confidently say it was one of favorite trips to date.

Family, friends, and twinkle lights. Windblown hair. Hiking boots for adventurous photography. Cozy moments for just the two of you.
A dirty hem from dancing and making memories...
and smiles you just can't wipe off your faces.
