It’s no secret that I often hibernate during the winter months and retreat indoors until the spring thaw. My husband can attest to this. So when Shiara reached out to me about a family shoot in December, I let out a little shiver as I agreed. I stumbled out of my den and met up with The Hickey Family at their home in Wisconsin Rapids. The sunrise was golden and the campfire was as warm as the delicious coffee they kept poured in my mug. What made this session even more sweet is that all three (grown) children and their spouses/fiances traveled from different corners of the country and were home together for the holidays for the first time in years. They had me come on out to capture family photos as a gift to their parents. Here it is for the record: I had a wonderful time outdoors, in subzero temperatures, with this incredible family. If that doesn’t speak to their nature, I don’t know what does. Keep on scrolling to check it out.
