Several weeks ago I opened my inbox to find a message from Chelsea. She wrote of her need for engagement pictures, but embedded in her message was something unique. She hoped to have these pictures taken within the next few weeks as they were preparing for Mitch’s deployment. I didn’t think twice about clearing my weekend schedule, jumping in my car, and heading toward the capitol to take some beautiful pictures of an even more beautiful couple.

Mitch and Chelsea met me in downtown Madison at the capitol building. We meandered around that area before making our way to the Monona Terrace. Throughout the session I learned bits and pieces about how their love story began, what it looks like today, and all that their future holds (including their 2018 wedding!). Based on their genuine laughter and sweet smiles (and Mitch’s natural hand-warming skills), I know their future will be bright and their wedding will be one to remember.
