Last November, I headed back to the Enchanted Barn for what would be (unexpectedly) a magical, winter wedding. The unexpected blizzard took us by surprise, but was wholeheartedly embraced. “Maggie Christie and Jeremy Kocher’s wedding looked like something out of a fairy tale. From the snow-covered countryside setting to the dreamy barn interior, their day was nothing short of perfection. The bride’s faux fur wrap added an extra-royal feel to an already stunning gown. Adding to the storybook touches, the father of the bride used his personalized saber (a gift from Maggie’s oldest brother) to lop off the top of a Champagne bottle and toast the couple since Maggie favors cheesecake over traditional wedding cake, the couple had desserts supplied by The Cheesecake Factory, which also happens to be where the best mann is assistant executive chef. Maggie wore a necklace that belonged to her great-grandmother, which her mother wore at her own nuptials. The wedding was an epitome of a Wisconsin celebration: family, a snowy day, and a delectable dairy dessert.”
