As mother nature would have it, our original session date was graced with rain and dreary skies. Why am I not upset about that? Our rescheduled evening was filled with warm sunshine, blooming wildflowers, and the golden rays that every photographer dreams about! Holly and little Mackenzy made their way out to Lake Emily for a Mommy and Me session. As I mentioned in my last blog post (Click here to find out what I’m talking about), these sessions are always extra special to me. I could feel my own little baby girl kicking and fluttering (she likes to remind me that she’s there with a swift jab in the ribs more frequently these days) as I edited these images. Seeing women like Holly take on the roll of “mom” so effortlessly and watching the way Mackenzy loves her right back makes me that much more ready to take on this roll myself and meet my little one! Four more weeks and counting. Until then, I’ll spend my time capturing moments between mommies and their little ones and praying for evenings as gorgeous as this one was.
